PATRIK LEONARDSSON 

 

A photographer who lets the nature guide the brush.

Patrik spent a big part of the 80’s in his boyroom composing, arrange and creating his own music. All with the nature as his greatest source of inspiration. His long walks along the Nissan river in his homtetown Halmstad became the inspiration to easy pop music that later became dissoluted symphonic compostions. Scenes of nature appeared as images in his head and had a need to be realized. 

Patrik got into photographing by a coincidence when he once borrowed a camera. He now hade the chance to realize the images he had imagined. For Patrik photography is not about document. It’s about creating images that might belong in a fairytale world. A way of painting, where the light and movements of nature happens spontaneously and the nature are the one holding the brusch. Except for music Patrik finds his inspiration in other art forms and artist. For example the John Bauers magical moods illustrations in the nordic nature. Where music is closely related to images. But to head out and open your eyes, gives you the true insight that nature is the biggest artist.
